From the time I was born until today, I, Nichiren, have never known a
moment's ease; I have thought only of propagating the daimoku of the
Lotus Sutra.

.if Nichiren actually said this... he was a liar

I don't suppose it ever occured to you that he might
have been a poet and/or artist?

ps. I suppose you'd call Shakyamuni a fibber too?

"Since I attained Buddhahood
the number of kalpas that have passed
is an immeasurable hundreds, thousands, ten thousands,
millions, trillions, asamkhyas."

"Mandarava blossoms rain down,
scattering over the Buddha and the great assembly."

"At all times I think to myself:
How can I cause living beings
to gain entry into the unsurpassed way
and quickly acquire the body of a Buddha?"

pps. Don't give up your day job.

Nrdo seems to have no intention of actually wanting to know about
Nichiren Buddhism, whatever day job he may or may not have...
